With our ART& RESEARCH PROGRAM we offer dancers the opportunity to work closely with talented choreographers and dance creators. The program calls for dancers to take a deep dive into the research methods and movement of the choreographer.
You’ll be working in a collaborative setting in a 4-day program. During this period, everyone will have more time to explore the movement methods. This allows for a deeper understanding of their shared knowledge.
This program takes place at ART& STUDIOS, where we stimulate connection and building relationships within the dance community.

In this program we will be getting up close and personal with one another; testing the limits of gravity and fear as we establish trust in a stranger to access all that is possible when two bodies become one. Swings, whips, and lifts. How exciting right? We will emphasize the importance of grips in relation to carrying and distributing weight as our base foundation for discovering and achieving improbable things.
The day will begin with class solely for yourself. The goal for the first two hours is to get you out of your head and into your body. We awaken the animal inside and challenge our stamina through functional fitness, core/strength play, and yogic teachings that target the use of our breath.
We will then continue with floor work methodology both in the center and across the floor. Ultimately, finishing off with heroic and dynamic phrase work to empowering upbeat music.
The second half of the day, we will take on partnering. Throughout the workshop this will be our main focus. We hope that this time together will encourage you to dare greatly and dive into research beyond risk or question. We will always end our practice by softening into this research and cooling down all that was boiling for the day. We can’t wait to move with you. See you on the floor.
